Liberty Equine Rescue, currently awaiting 501 (c)(3) status, was founded in 2009 and is located in Morris County, New Jersey.

Our views are anti-slaughter. It is our hope to educate the public about equine issues regarding livestock auctions and the slaughter of America's horses.

Our rescue works, each week, networking for horses headed to slaughter from the Camelot feed lot.

Liberty Equine Rescue relies entirely on donations to house and feed our horses. At this time, we can not take in additional horses, because we need sponsors for the horses already in our care.

Please consider a donation or sponsorship, so we may continue to grow, and help more horses in need.

We take great pride in the care that we give to our horses.

They are stalled in a barn at night and in inclement weather. They are outdoors throughout the day. They are blanketed during cold temperatures.

They are grained twice daily, and given hay three times per day.

All horses are vaccinated yearly, and farrier work done every 8 weeks. We follow a six time per year worming schedule.

All horses are spoiled with love...and treats.
